V&P Breakfast Briefing “The Future of Capitalism”

Most Asian countries are still developing their economic and political institutions. These emerging systems have to address major challenges to bring about sustainable growth, given the domestic demands for equitable economic progress. They also have to grapple with external constraints posed by a globalised economy. These challenges create both risks and opportunities. Professor Ann Florini, from the Singapore Management University (SMU), provided her insights on how government, businesses and civil society can work together to overcome the challenges and reshape the current form of capitalism to take into consideration non-financial costs.
